The Moraga Police Department is once again teaming with the New Rheem Theatre in sponsoring a fundraising event to benefit the Special Olympics Northern California. The “Kid’s Day” will take place on Saturday, July 13th at the New Rheem Theatre and will consist of a special matinee showing of the kids movie “Despicable Me” (for only $5 per ticket) as well as a festival of fun activities. The movie will be at 11:00 am and the festival will go from 12:00pm-3:00pm with Moraga police officers staffing the activities. Check out the flyer for more details.
This event is one of hundreds of events conducted by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, whose goal is to support Special Olympics programs through raising funds and public awareness, while enhancing the quality of life of the athletes. More information can be found at sonc.org.
Bring the entire family out to enjoy this very worthwhile and fun filled day!
